Funerals, Memorials & Celebrations of Life
During this difficult time, it may be especially helpful and comforting to place the ceremony in the hands of a Certified Funeral Celebrant. If your loved one didn’t belong to a house of worship and you do not want a traditional religious ceremony, a Celebrant ceremony is an excellent alternative, providing you with flexible and creative options to ensure the ceremony fits your needs.
We will collaborate to create a beautiful tribute that honors your loved one’s life and unique personality. It can include music, eulogies, readings, and rituals as per your preferences. In an unhurried phone or in person meeting, we will speak about your loved one and gather important details and stories about his or her life. I will guide you through the process, providing ideas as well listening to yours and organizing the elements in the most appropriate way. The ceremony wording and design will reflect who your loved one was, and will be personally meaningful to you and your family. You will get to review the full ceremony script and make any desired changes, ensuring that it accurately portrays your loved one and communicates the message you want to share.
The ceremony can take place at a location of your choosing. If at a Funeral home, I will keep the Funeral Director informed of what we are planning so that we work in harmony. On the day of the ceremony I will conduct it with warmth and grace, creating a comforting space for all who attend. You will also receive a special copy of the ceremony as a remembrance.
On behalf of my family I would like to extend our deepest thanks for the beautiful ceremony you conducted for the passing of my father. This has been the most difficult time we have ever had to face but your grace, kindness, wisdom and compassion have helped us in ways I can not express.
The ceremony itself was incredibly touching, beautiful and so personal; your eulogy captured my father’s essence perfectly and we all agreed that he would have been proud and honored to be spoken of so sincerely and with such simple honesty. Obviously our grieving process will be long and at times very difficult, but please know that your help has allowed us to take that first great step towards healing the pain in our hearts.
Elizabeth, you have a rare and special talent, we will forever look back on that day with more joy than sadness, with fondness and smiles, something I would not have dreamed possible.
Elizabeth is an incredibly brilliant and warm person with whom I had
the fortune of having as an officiant for my mother’s celebration of
life and memorial service. She made herself available in time and in
spirit, and organized a service that properly honored my mother’s
life. Elizabeth is a natural at this profession and I would highly
recommend her services to anyone who wants someone to encapsulate the
spirit of a ceremony.
Elizabeth prepared and presented a graveside memorial service for my husband. She understood exactly what I wanted after one telephone conversation and sent me a draft of the service into which she had woven, with insight and grace, some material I had sent. After very few changes, mostly to include more information from me, the narrative was ready. Relatives and friends commented on the beauty of the service.

Loving, playful, faithful friends, enthusiastic members of our families, adoring companions; our pets are an important part of our lives. Losing a pet can be as painful as losing a human family member. A funeral for a pet – much like a human funeral – honors that pet’s life and the meaningful role they played in their owner’s lives. It gives the pet a dignified and loving interment.
